BATH HOTEL & SPRING HOUSE

Bath Hotel & Spring House, built in 1778, was the first hostelry in the entire region catering specifically to visitors, among them British and European aristocracy. You will find five thermal baths where the spring water is said to contain minerals of medicinal value to cure chronic rheumatism and gout.

EDEN BROWN ESTATE

The Hamilton family owned and operated a sugar plantation up until 1950. It is now a snapshot into history of the sugar industry. The ruins include remains of a windmill, cistern, chimney, boiling house and steam engine.

Located on the Atlantic side of Nevis, Herbert's is a great place for an afternoon stroll. The water can get choppy and it is windy. However, the views are gorgeous, and you'll rarely have to share this beach with anyone else.

British commander Horatio Nelson met and married Fanny Nisbet, a local widow, on Nevis before leading the victorious British at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.

JEWISH CEMETERY

In the early 18th century, Jewish immigrants arrived in Nevis after being expelled by the Portuguese from Brazil. The immigrants brought with them the knowledge of growing sugarcane, which changed these islands forever.

If you want to pretend you are marooned on a gorgeous and remote island, this is your beach. The mile-long Lovers Beach has white sand, dense foliage, and crystal clear Caribbean waters.

This museum showcases life on Nevis from the time it was inhabited by the local Kalinago people up until the present. An open-air stroll features everything form Kalinago dwellings to slave houses and a blacksmith's shop.

Fascinating New River Estate, a reminder of the slave trade, is a low-key but unique estate for the remarkably well-preserved evidence of the innovative technology adopted by the plantation’s owners.
